They say nothing good comes easy, sometimes I wish this is just an empty saying, but it isn't, indeed nothing good comes easy.
In life we all face challenges, challenges are integral part of our life, it is either you are in One challenge, or you just came out of One, or are about to enter into a one. It is the Circle of Life, life always throws challenges at us but we must make up our minds to stand strong. No success story is void of challenges, your ability to stay and remain focused as well as determined in the face of challenges is what determines how mature you are.
It takes deliberate effort and time to do anything worthwhile. Like I said earlier life always throws challenges at us, but we have the power to choose whether or not we will allow our challenges to define are possibilities and outcomes.
I write this article today with a strong heart and warm feelings toward those who are currently going through tough times and challenges in the midst of learning software development.
I do want you to know that you don't need to be discouraged or faint-hearted because you're not the only person going to Challenger nor the only person who will go through challenges. For those who are currently going through one challenge or the other, I want to encourage you to stay strong and remember that without challenges there will be no champions because challenges birth champions. So if you are currently going through challenges these are what I suggest you should do:
Keep your eyes on the goal
I want to believe that you have a reason for doing what you do now. Something or someone influenced your decision to do what you are doing now. In times of challenges, we are very likely to forget the reasons why we do what we do. Hence I encourage you to set your eyes on the goal. Whatever it may be, just keep it before you and always reflect on what possibilities the attainment of that goal opens you up to. What impact, what changes, and what values will the attainment of this goal bring to your life? When you reflect on your goals, they become internal motivation and strengthen you in times of weakness and discouragement. If you do not have a goal I will encourage you to create one for yourself because the person without a goal, is like a person who boards a vehicle with no destination in mind.
Be honest with yourself
Yes, yes it's okay to be human; it’s okay to cry sometimes, it's okay to lean on someone. Be humble enough to cry when you need to, be humble enough to speak to someone if you have to, there is absolutely nothing wrong with that, it doesn't make you weak, it doesn't make you less a human, it doesn't mean you are unable to take care of your own matters, it simply means that you're human and you’ve got feelings, it simply means that you're human just like everyone else. Sometimes we make life more difficult for ourselves because of the way we think and perceive things, life doesn't have to be that hard, we are created to be there for each other. Be honest with yourself, when you are challenged seek a solution because there are people who have gone through similar challenges, and have had experiences, and by speaking to people like that you quickly and easily get solutions to your challenges. In some cases, they may not even proffer solutions to your problem or challenges but the words they speak can encourage your heart and strengthen your spirit to keep pushing.
Stay positive
As humans, many times when we are challenged we begin to speak negative words or think negative thoughts that do not align with the mental picture of the preferred future we had earlier. Therefore we must ensure that in the midst of challenges and trials we stay positive. In some cases because of challenges we begin to question ourselves and our abilities, challenges do not mean that you're not smart, diligent, hard-working, and focused so take it easy on yourself and choose to stay positive, choose to speak positively and think positively. Your challenges and circumstances do not define you.
